A Quick Fixe for Foodies!

She’s not quite a Florida native, but Maria’s about as close as they come. She moved here when she was nine months old, and has lived in the Sunshine State ever since. Maria currently lives on a peninsula between the Halifax River and the Atlantic Ocean, just a quick stroll from the beach where she, her husband and her three sons (ages 6, 15 and 17) spend much of their free time together. After work and most weekends you can find one or more of them surfing, building sandcastles, playing soccer or just chilling out at the water’s edge. Raised in Florida’s tourism industry (Maria started working at her parent’s tourist shop in World Famous Daytona Beach at just 10 year old), it’s no wonder the travel industry is in her blood. After college, she worked for various tourism organizations, including a stint as PR Director for VISIT FLORIDA, the state’s official tourism marketing organization. She now enjoys promoting resorts and destinations on her own schedule. Maria and her family have traveled all over the world and still consider Florida their #1 vacation destination of choice.
